Mental Health and Wellbeing at St Michael's
Mental health and wellbeing is not just about specific Mental Health Services. It is about how we think and feel about our lives and ourselves. Looking after your wellbeing is key to how we manage and deal with ups and downs throughout our lives. Thinking about our children’s mental health and helping them to develop their ability to cope with life’s challenges is one of the most important things we can do. Children and young people need help to understand and enjoy good emotional health and wellbeing as well as developing resilience to deal with emotions and daily problems that arise. It is important to their overall health and development, to consider this.
At St Michael’s we believe that we all need to take the time to look after our own wellbeing. As adults – both parents and professionals who work with children – in order for us to be able to support our children, we too must look after our own emotional health and wellbeing. Explore the documents below to find out more about what we do and how you can access ideas and support for both yourself and your children.
